About Celvara
A Practice Built on Clarity and Care
We take on matters where clear thinking and careful preparation make a real difference. Our work is deliberate, and our advice is designed to be understood.
← Back to HomeFounded in Singapore, Focused on What Matters
Celvara was established with a clear purpose: to offer straightforward legal advice in areas where many individuals and businesses find themselves without adequate guidance. The firm began with a small team of practitioners who had spent years in larger structures and saw the gap between what clients actually needed and what was available to them.
Our name reflects what we believe good legal work looks like — careful, precise, and built from a clear understanding of the situation. We took on our first banking and finance matters in 2018 and have since expanded to cover Employment Pass appeals and neighbour dispute advisory, areas where the stakes are real and the process is often unfamiliar to those going through it.
We operate from our office at 71 Robinson Road, in the heart of Singapore's financial and professional district. This puts us close to the regulators, courts, and agencies that are relevant to the matters we handle — and close to the clients we serve.
Our mission is not to be the largest firm on the street. It is to be a firm that gives each matter the attention it deserves and communicates with clients in plain language throughout the process.
Our Mission
To provide considered legal counsel in areas where clarity and precision are essential — helping individuals and organisations navigate complex situations with confidence and without unnecessary pressure.

The Values That Shape Our Work
Considered Judgement
We think carefully before advising. Legal work benefits from deliberate analysis, not speed for its own sake. Our clients deserve considered views, not reflexive ones.
Plain Communication
Legal language can obscure rather than clarify. We write and speak in a way that our clients can follow, and we make sure they understand the options available before moving forward.
Client Discretion
Every matter is handled with care for privacy. Information is treated confidentially throughout and shared only where directly necessary for the matter at hand.
Structured Process
Each engagement follows a clear methodology. Clients know what will happen, when it will happen, and what they need to provide. Surprises are minimised by design.
Respect for the Client
We do not pressure clients toward decisions. We give them the information they need, explain the consequences of each path, and let them decide at their own pace.
Focus on Outcomes
Legal work is a means to an end. We keep the client's practical objectives in view throughout — not just the technical aspects of the matter.

All client-facing documents are reviewed by a senior team member before delivery. We do not send out work that has not been checked thoroughly.

We adhere to the Professional Conduct Rules governing Singapore legal practitioners, including conflict-of-interest management and client confidentiality obligations.
Advisory Work Grounded in Singapore Law
Singapore's legal environment is characterised by well-developed commercial law, a structured immigration framework, and an established community dispute resolution system. Navigating each of these areas requires familiarity not only with the law itself but with the administrative procedures and institutional expectations that accompany it.
In banking and finance, Singapore maintains a sophisticated regulatory landscape governed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Documentation for loan facilities, security arrangements, and regulatory filings must meet precise standards, particularly where multiple parties are involved across different jurisdictions. Celvara's advisory work in this area draws on practical experience with term sheet review, facility agreement preparation, and compliance-related correspondence.
Employment Pass matters are governed by the Ministry of Manpower's framework, which has been updated over recent years to reflect changing economic conditions. Appeals require a clear understanding of the grounds for rejection and a carefully structured submission that addresses each concern directly. Our work in this area focuses on constructing appeal letters that are factual, well-organised, and persuasive without overreach.
Neighbour dispute matters in Singapore can be addressed through several channels, including direct correspondence, the Community Mediation Centre, and tribunal proceedings. The most constructive path is often determined early in the process. Our advisory work in this area is designed to be practical — helping residents understand their position, draft appropriate communications, and approach mediation in a constructive frame of mind.
