Testimonials
I engaged Celvara for an Employment Pass appeal after a rejection I hadn't expected. The process they followed was methodical — they reviewed my original application carefully, told me honestly where the weaknesses were, and drafted an appeal letter that addressed each issue directly. The appeal was successful. What I appreciated most was that they didn't oversell the chances; they were straightforward throughout.

We are a small fintech company and needed help with loan documentation for our first structured facility. Celvara handled the facility agreement preparation and regulatory compliance memo. The fee was clear from the start, and the work was thorough. The annotated agreement they produced was genuinely useful for our team to understand what we were signing. Turnaround was about six weeks, as quoted.

My neighbour and I had an ongoing issue with noise and shared corridor use that had been unresolved for nearly a year. Celvara helped me put together a proper advisory letter and then prepared a mediation brief for the CMC session. The advisor was calm and clear about what the process involved. The mediation itself went well — we reached an agreement. I'm glad I didn't try to navigate this alone.

Celvara handled the Employment Pass appeal for one of our senior hires. The process was smooth — they gave us a frank assessment first, which I appreciated since we had already spent time on the initial application. Their appeal letter was well-structured and addressed the rejection grounds specifically. We received a positive outcome from MOM about three weeks after submission.

I had a boundary issue with a neighbouring unit that involved some damage to shared wall fixtures. After an initial consultation with Celvara, they advised me on the most practical course and drafted the correspondence. The tone of their letter was firm but not aggressive, which is what I wanted — I still have to live next door to these people. Resolved within about two weeks of sending the letter.

Our bank engaged Celvara for a restructuring matter involving a corporate borrower. The work was handled with the level of care and thoroughness we would expect from a specialist. The compliance memo in particular was useful for our internal compliance team. We will use Celvara again for suitable matters — smaller in scale than what a magic circle firm would take on, but requiring genuine expertise.

Three Case Studies
Employment Pass Appeal for Senior Technology Role
Employment Pass Advisory
Situation
A technology company had its Employment Pass application rejected for a senior engineering hire. The rejection cited salary benchmarking concerns. The company had already submitted one appeal independently, which was also unsuccessful.
Approach
Celvara reviewed both the original application and the first unsuccessful appeal. The assessment identified that the salary comparison data presented was based on outdated benchmarks. A revised appeal was prepared with current market data and a more detailed role description addressing MOM's stated criteria.
Outcome
The second appeal, submitted through Celvara, was approved by MOM within four weeks of submission. The engagement, from initial review to submission, was completed in under three weeks. The total fee was SGD 780.
Loan Facility Documentation for Corporate Borrower
Banking & Finance Advisory
Situation
A mid-sized logistics company was entering into its first major term loan facility with a domestic bank. The company's management was unfamiliar with the documentation involved and wanted independent advisory before signing.
Approach
Celvara reviewed the facility agreement and term sheet in full. An annotated version of the agreement was prepared, flagging provisions of commercial and legal significance. A regulatory compliance memo was produced covering MAS-relevant considerations for the facility structure.
Outcome
The company entered the facility with a clear understanding of its obligations and the provisions that required attention. Two amendments were negotiated with the bank following Celvara's review. Engagement duration was five weeks. Fee: SGD 2,300.
Noise and Common Area Dispute — HDB Flat
Neighbour Dispute Advisory
Situation
A resident in a Bedok HDB flat had been dealing with excessive late-night noise from an adjoining unit for several months. Informal attempts to address the matter had not produced any change, and the resident was uncertain about the formal channels available.
Approach
Celvara assessed the situation and the applicable channels — including town council, direct correspondence, and the Community Mediation Centre. An advisory letter was prepared for the neighbour, setting out the concern and the basis on which it was being raised. A mediation preparation brief was also developed in case the CMC route became necessary.
Outcome
Following receipt of the advisory letter, the neighbour agreed to informal arrangements that resolved the core concern. CMC proceedings were not ultimately required. The engagement was completed in under two weeks. Fee: SGD 380.
